ACTON GARDENS | LONDON

This striking courtyard development has delivered 279 new homes of which 50% are for affordable social rent. 

Innovatively designed as a perimeter block with landscaped courtyard in the centre, specialist software was used to analyse and locate the optimum placing of breaks in the building to draw in sunlight, create views out and to retain 95% of the existing mature trees.  Duplex pavilions at the top floor and a 12 storey sculptured tower on the corner create a distinctive design that was shortlisted for an NLA Award in 2019.
